The 9th Annual 5K Walk for Diane for the Early Detection of Breast Cancer
WHAT A DAY!!
The 9th Annual Walk for Diane held on October 29, 2017 was a wonderful event. 160 individuals pre-registered for the walk with an additional 41 dedicated individuals who came out to Buccleuch Park the morning of the event to join all the walkers despite intermittent rain and gloomy forecasts. The Amy Foundation is so very grateful to all the walkers, their families, friends, and neighbors who joined us for this annual 5k Walk and made the 9th Annual Walk for Diane a great success!
And we’re so grateful to all the generous donors for the support that totaled more than $34,000 with gifts still coming in!
The important steps taken on October 29th and the generosity of so many individuals helps uninsured and underinsured women throughout central New Jersey who do not know about early detection and could not otherwise afford potentially life-saving early-detection measures for breast cancer to receive these vital procedures.
The Walk for Diane helped us to honor and remember all those whose lives have been or could be, or are affected by breast cancer.
Funds raised from the Walk for Diane support the mission of The Amy Foundation to provide early detection procedures for breast cancer for women who are without the financial means to obtain these vital early-detection measures.
